Local elections are taking place on Thursday 2 May 2024 where you can have your say on who the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Essex will be.  

• Register to vote
• Apply for a postal vote (you will need to reapply every three years)
• Apply for a proxy vote (someone voting on your behalf)

There are new rules this year around the postal votes handling including how many postal votes you can hand in and a new application form if you hand in at a polling station or the council offices.
